Water Resistance & Watch Care
Treat water resistance as a product-specific detail—not a universal guarantee.
Check your exact option
Water-resistance statements may differ between models and grades. A number in a generic comparison table does not establish the tested performance of the watch you receive. Ask us to confirm the stated rating and any available test information for your chosen option before exposing it to water. Until confirmed, keep the watch dry and avoid swimming or immersion.
Everyday precautions
Keep the crown properly closed and do not operate the crown or buttons while the watch is wet. Avoid hot showers, steam, saunas and rapid temperature changes. Gaskets and seals can deteriorate with age, impacts or servicing; a previous rating does not mean permanent water resistance. General care guidance follows established watch-care precautions; it does not certify any Patek.is product.
Cleaning and storage
Use a soft, dry cloth after wear. Avoid abrasive cleaners and solvents. Keep leather straps away from prolonged moisture and store the watch in a dry place away from strong impacts. Ask for instructions specific to the movement before setting, winding or adjusting functions.
If moisture appears
If you notice condensation, a wet dial or abnormal operation after water exposure, stop further water contact and seek assessment promptly. Contact us with the order number and circumstances. Do not assume that a generic water-resistance claim covers a particular activity or damage event.
